The Oberlin Business Partnership announced the inaugural Super Teams information and networking event will take place at 8 a.m., June 25, at the Hotel at Oberlin, 10 E. College St.

The session is part of the Leadercast Series and is focused on helping companies improve their leadership.

Oberlin Business Partnership has been a part of several similar events in the Leadercast Series, said Sharon Pearson, executive director of the Oberlin Business Partnership.

The Super Teams event is the first of its kind, Pearson said.

“We’re one of the rare places in the area where people can attend an event like this, and it’s a great professional development opportunity,” she said.

Helping businesses improve their leadership is one of the focuses of the Oberlin Business Partnership, which is in part how the event was launched, Pearson said.

The event will be video recorded, but in-person attendance is encouraged, she said.

“When I last checked with Leadercast, I do not believe there was another program like this in the area until you get to Columbus,” Pearson said. “Anybody between here and Columbus can attend.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn new leadership strategies and connect with a range of organizations and business leaders, she said.

“It gets people the opportunity to meet with their peers or people in a similar industry and even people outside of their industry,” Pearson said. “It’s a networking opportunity and also to address how we can operate after the (coronavirus) pandemic.”

Pearson said there has been some dysfunction in businesses and companies due to changes made because of the pandemic and this event can help organizations get back on the right track.

The Super Teams event is one of three in a series this year.

Attendees can get a $10 off discount for future events.

Tickets cost $75 per person or $400 for a table of six.

Interested parties can register on the events section of Oberlin Business Partnership’s website.
