For two weeks in July, The Vallejo Center for the Arts will be hosting its two-week summer camp with the hope of fostering kids’ imaginations. Pairing artistic pursuits with the environment, the camp will center around the theme of a mythical adventure for Eco-Warriors.

This camp is a unique experience for campers of all ages, aiming to inspire young minds while nurturing a love for the natural world.

“We are excited to offer a summer camp that combines art, nature, and creativity in a way that empowers young individuals to become Eco-Warriors,” says Renay Conlin, Executive Director of the Vallejo Center for the Arts. “Our goal is to provide a transformative experience where campers can not only express themselves artistically but also develop valuable skills such as creative problem-solving and teamwork.”

During this summer camp, participants will be immersed in engaging and interactive activities designed to foster a deep appreciation for the environment. Through hands-on experiences, campers will not only explore the wonders of nature but also enhance their self-confidence through various artistic endeavors.

Campers can pursue a variety of interest with a wide range of classes including drawing, painting, printmaking, pastels, action figure drawing, photography, costume and scenic design. By exploring these diverse artistic mediums, participants can locate the vibrant sounds, patterns, colors, and rhythms of their own community while honing their creative talents.

The summer camp will be held at the Temple Arts Loft, in the heart of Vallejo. With its extensive artistic history, this setting will serve as the backdrop for campers as they pursue creativity under the guidance of experienced instructors.

Spaces for the Vallejo Center for the Arts’ two-week summer camp are limited, so interested individuals are encouraged to register early to secure their spot.
