Top 128 plus top 32 character stats at first Street Fighter 6 major with Akuma and Season 2 balance update for Combo Breaker 2024

Street Fighter 6 received its largest update to date just a few days ago to add Akuma and Season 2 balance patch to the game, and they’re already letting it rock this weekend.

Combo Breaker 2024 serves as the first major to feature the new version of SF6, and we now have the full character breakdown for the massive tournament with some interesting results.

Starting with the top 32, Ken and Luke still showed up pretty big, but it was actually Rashid who took the top spot in representation with 4 users taking him very deep in the bracket.

Although there were plenty of worries about the demon coming into this weekend, Akuma failed to really make an impact among the finalists with no one maining him in the top 32 and only DaFeetLee pulling him out on ocassion.

Aside from the latest DLC character, every other fighter saw some play this far in with three other exceptions being Ryu, Guile and Dhalsim.

Top 8 ended up pretty darn diverse as well with 7 different main characters on display including Lily, Luke, Juri, Kimberly, JP Rashid, Ed and Zangief with the only repeat being Luke.

With over 1,400 players signed up, the top 32 here represents the best 2% of competitors in SF6 at Combo Breaker.

You can check out those stats below, but we’re not done yet.

• Rashid – 4

• Luke – 3 (1)

• Ken – 3

• Chun-Li – 2 (1)

• Cammy – 2

• Dee Jay – 2

• Jamie – 2

• Kimberly – 2

• Marisa – 2

• Ed – 1 (1)

• A.K.I. – 1

• Blanka – 1

• E. Honda – 1

• JP – 1

• Juri – 1

• Lily – 1

• Manon – 1

• Zangief – 1

• Akuma – 0 (1)

Moving on to the top 128, there were some pretty notable shakeups across the board, and while there were 4 Akuma mains there, EliTheCurry was the highest placing one at 49th.

JP and Kimberly show the biggest difference in how many mains they had in top 128 with 10 apiece though Ken and Luke still ran away with it in the end since they both ended up with 13 players in the upper bracket.

Everyone mained at least twice though Dhalsim and Manon were the only ones not to have at least three competitors make it far in the tournament.

Besides the Kimberly, Rashid and Eds on display now, the results are looking pretty similar to what they were before, but remember, we are still on week one of the new patch.

It’s going to take quite a bit more time to see how the meta is going to shift overall while most players seem to be sticking with what they know for now.

You’ll find the full top 128 breakdown for Combo Breaker below.
