di Rosa invites the public to model among the art

Di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art is inviting the public to walk the runway in their very own fashionable attire at To the Max! “Bring Your Own” Fashion Show Among the Art on April 27.

Community members can showcase their creativity and sense of style as they strike a pose in their closet’s most extravagant findings. Participants will walk the runway surrounded by a collection of vibrant art in Gallery 2.

Di Rosa is calling all fashion “maximalists” to ,through their closets for outrageous ensembles to strut down the runway. The event, from 1 to 3 p.m., calls for fun, silly, and striking attire to display among di Rosa’s “To the Max!” art exhibit.

All ages are invited to participate and can register for $15 until April 23. For those who wish to attend only, general admission costs $20 and is free for members. Register and purchase tickets online at dirosaart.org.

Andrea Saenz, di Rosa deputy director, said she hopes the Bring Your Own (BYO) Fashion Show will become an annual event that celebrates different themes in the Center’s art collection.

“There couldn’t be a better stage for today’s exuberant maximal clothing than our current exhibition, ‘To the Max!’” Saenz said in a press release.

Di Rosa is located at 5200 Sonoma Highway in Napa. The Center is open to the public Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For more information visit the website.
