CSI Softball seeking berth to NJCAA World Series

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The College of Southern Idaho softball team is hoping to clinch a spot in the NJCAA Division I Softball World Series.

But before they can make plans to travel to Oxford, Alabama, they need to clinch an at-large berth, which there are four available.

See the Golden Eagles had a rough time in Wednesday’s Region 18 championship game, falling 20-5 to Salt Lake Community College.

Salt Lake took a commanding 15-0 lead before CSI scored in the fifth. The Bruins’ hitters smacked 20 hits, including three home runs.

‘Some positive news CSI fans, the Golden Eagles are ranked sixth in the country and boast a 46-14 record, with four wins over the 5th ranked Bruins.

The selection show is set for Tuesday, we’ll have more information as soon as it becomes available.
