LONG ISLAND, N.Y. (News 12 Long Island) – The cremated remains of seven World War II veterans were recently discovered at a funeral home on Long Island, New York.

The servicemen were brought to their final resting place, Long Island National Cemetery, on Tuesday.

The veterans were given their final honor in a somber ceremony in Farmingdale before being buried.

Their cremated remains of the servicemen and one spouse were discovered in a storage room at Freeport Funeral Home.
