Copenhagen Fashion Week has unveiled its brand line-up for SS25, and also announced Sinéad O’Dwyer as the recipient of the Zalando Visionary Award 2024.

The London-based Irish designer receives the award that’s based on three pillars: creativity and design, social impact and innovation.

O’Dwyer has been recognised by the award jury for her “innovative, joyful, and avant-garde creations that redefine the boundaries of fashion. With a unique blend of artistry and technical expertise, [she] explores themes of identity, body positivity, and self-expression through her designs,” we’re told.

She’ll receive a €50,000 prize and will present her collection at Copenhagen Fashion Week in August (her debut there), with additional support from Zalando for the show production “to highlight the brand’s inspiring dedication to diversity and innovation”.

CPHFW also announced the the designers who are to be part of the NewTalent programme for the SS25 season with Berner Kühl joining the scheme alongside Stamm and Alectra Rothschild/Masculina who will present their second showcase, while Rolf Ekroth will present his third and final showcase as part of NewTalent. Meanwhile Bonnetje, Sól Hansdóttir and Stem have been awarded One To Watch status under the scheme.

NewTalent is “a vital pillar for Copenhagen Fashion Week, supporting key Nordic visionary talent at a critical juncture in their growth. [It] aims to support these directional new voices across mentoring, showcasing and financial support: a three-tiered structure to guide their own evolution from flourishing creatives into reputable businesses,” said event CEO Cecilie Thorsmark.

As for the wider line-up at the event, the August edition will feature 46 brands and institutions that will showcase their collections on the official show schedule.

For the first time, it will be incorporating runway shows and presentations, the two formats that we’re told “will allow for a more expressive offering”.

Brands showing include A. Roege Hove, (di)vision, Jade Cropper, Latimmier, Rabens Saloner, Baum und Pferdgarten, Deadwood, Gestuz, Henrik Vibskov, Marimekko, Munthe, Saks Potts, and Stine Goya.
