FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – One of the first tenants of Fort Wayne’s Electric Works announced Saturday that it has made the decision to focus on its food truck and travel catering business rather than its brick-and-mortar location in Electric Works.

On Saturday, April 27, Brooks BBQ and Chicken shared the following announcement on its Facebook page:

As one of Union Street Market’s first merchants, Brooks BBQ and Chicken has served delicious barbeque to the tenants of Electric Works and visitors to the Market for nearly 2 years. Brooks BBQ and Chicken owner Cam Brooks has made the decision to refocus his efforts, with an emphasis on his food truck and travel catering business rather than a shared brick-and-mortar location. While he shares his appreciation for the time he spent at Union Street Market, noting that he will always be a supporter of Union Street Market and the Electric Works project. He is excited to bring his food to longtime customers in the community and meet new customers as he explores different parts of the country with his food truck. Those looking for great barbeque can stay up to date through the brand’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
