Free outdoor concerts, art fairs, movies and more: These 8 events in Brevard this weekend won’t cost a dime.

1. ‘Battle of the Bands’ concert in Melbourne

Melbourne Municipal Band presents “Battle of the Bands,” a face-off between the Swingtime Jazz Orchestra and Space Coast Big Band, at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., on Wednesday, May 15 at 7 p.m. The program will include swinging rhythms and vibrant melodies. Admission is free. Call 321-724-0555 or visit mmband.org.

2. Summer Art & Craft Fair in Cocoa Village

The free kid-and-pet-friendly event will be in Cocoa Village on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be street food, live entertainment and more. Artists and crafters will showcase their wares. Visit visitcocoavillage.com.

3. Indian River Quartet concert in Cocoa

The Indian River Quartet will give a free concert featuring the music of The Beatles on Thursday, May 16 at 6 p.m. at the Catherine Schweinsberg Rood Central Library, 308 Forrest Ave, Cocoa. The program will feature hits like “Hello Goodbye” and “Hey Jude.” Admission is free. Call 321-633-1792.

4. Melbourne’s Mega Rummage Sale

The Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., Melbourne, transitions into a shopping paradise on Saturday, May 11 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors will have many different items to sell. Admission is free. Call 321-608-7420 or visit melbourneflorida.org.

5. Free movie in the park: ‘Moana’

The movie “Moana” (PG) will be shown at Fred Poppe Regional Park, 1951 Malabar Road NW, Palm Bay, on Saturday, May 11 at 8 p.m. Seating begins at 7 p.m. Bring chairs, blankets, snacks and bug spray. 6. Free comic books in Melbourne

7. Third Thursday at The Avenue Viera

This free, family-and-pet friendly night will be outdoors in the Central Park area of The Avenue Viera, 2261 Town Center Ave., on the third Thursday of every month. This month’s event will be Thursday, May 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. Enjoy live music, vendors, complimentary snacks and a free drink or ice cream. There will be live music by Whiskey JuJu. 8. ‘Sunset in the Hollows’ walks in Melbourne

Hundred Acre Hollows, 1170 Rock Springs Drive, Melbourne, will be open Sundays, May 12, 19 and 26 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Take a nature walk on the 2-mile trail or a shorter stroll along the berms. Enjoy sunset photography, birdwatching, and spotting wildlife including raccoons, deer and bobcats. There is also an Audubon native plant garden and a Keep Brevard Beautiful native plant garden.
