SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Area high schools visited the 185th Air Refueling Wing to learn about education and job opportunities.

Students had a chance to explore nearly 100 different opportunities in the National Guard.

Available positions range from part-time to full-time operations.

The career fair allows students to directly speak with individuals in the fields that they are interested in.

“It’s just hard because some students really struggle in what they want to go with and there are so many opportunities nowadays and so many different things that you can do and this base offers a lot and when they hold events like this you know students can kind of hone down on what they’re exactly wanting to do and see all the many different skills they can learn here,” said Addison Obrecht Harlan Community High School junior.

They had various avenues for students from college to more hands-on trade programs.

Members of the National Guard receive 100% state tuition assistance.
