OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) – The World Equestrian Center will soon start offering more than just horse-related athletic events. WEC announced the launch of a youth sports organization based out of the facility in Ocala.

The new organization, Sports at WEC, will first offer the Academy 54 recreational youth soccer camp for children ages 5 through 14 beginning the week of June 17. Registration is now open for both of the two, one-week sessions.

Soccer is only the beginning for Sports at WEC. The organization plans to expand to additional sports including flag football, indoor volleyball, and lacrosse.

“While World Equestrian Center is already known for its world-class facilities and top-tier equestrian events, Sports at WEC will begin an expansion that embraces a variety of sports,” says Wyatt Stephens, the new Director of Sports at World Equestrian Center – Ocala.
