LOUISVILLE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Sports Turf Co., a specialty sports construction and surfacing company, has completed the track and field renovation at Jefferson County High School.

The Warriors received an artificial turf stadium field, new eight-lane running track and field events.

“Sports Turf is honored to complete the renovations at Jefferson County High School,” said Sports Turf President Todd Wiggins. “The Warriors deserve a facility with the best of the best in terms of playing surfaces, and that’s exactly what they have now. We can’t wait to see how these renovations propel the local athletic teams and community forward.”

The system features Astro Turf’s RootZone 3D System, Brock shock pad and BrockFILL.

AstroTurf’s system is a performance artificial turf that combines slit-film and monofilament fibers with a RootZone layer of texturized fibers for optimum durability and better shock absorbency.

The Brock shock pad and BrockFILL are specifically engineered to optimize safety for athletes during impacts to the surface. BrockFILL is the latest in organic infills and is sustainably grown and harvested in Georgia.

In addition to the field renovations, the Warriors received a newly resurfaced eight-lane running track and field events. The renovation of the existing running track and field events for the Warriors included milling the existing asphalt, new interior/exterior curbs, new paving, installation of synthetic track surfacing, new shot put pad and landing area, long jump/triple jump runway, pole vault, and discus cage.
