Now, here’s Tuesday’s news.

Israel takes ‘operational control’ of Rafah crossing

The crossing is the only gateway for humanitarian aid between Gaza and Egypt. A diplomatic push to reach a new cease-fire seven months into the war is in flux. Israel sent a delegation to Cairo after Hamas leaders on Monday said they would accept a recent proposal for a deal. However, it’s not clear whether that agreement meets Israel’s requirements. Met Gala: Stars wow in ‘timeless’ floral theme

The celebs of the 2024 Met Gala walked the red, or rather, green and white carpet, for fashion’s biggest night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday. The theme was “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”

Met Gala sweetheart and co-chair Zendaya embraced her Virgo Earth sign in a show-stopping Maison Margiela gown.

  • Demi Moore turned heads wearing an elaborate heart-shaped dress from Harris Reed. The “Ghost” actress paired the stunning gown with a Cartier necklace.
  • The Kardashian-Jenner clan arrived in full force: Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and matriarch Kris Jenner were all in attendance for the museum’s annual benefit.
  • Who wasn’t there? Rihanna and A$AP Rocky, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Beyoncé, Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga have made a big splash with their looks in recent years, but were noticeably absent from this year’s event.

The team had complained for years about its dilapidated facilities. Its locker room – a 10-foot-wide converted metal shipping container – lacked running water and the doors didn’t lock. Many players changed in their cars. The Nevada baseball team suffered none of those problems. Read more
