Logan Goff, one of 10 chosen, is the sole U.S. representative in the prestigious international fashion event

Logan Goff, a former Plano ISD student from Plano West Senior High School class of 2019, clinched a coveted spot as the sole U.S. representative at the esteemed 39th Annual Festival de Hyères. Set to take place from October 10-13, 2024, in Hyères, France, this event serves as a launchpad for emerging talents in fashion, photography and accessories.

Goff joins an elite cohort of ten finalists vying for top honors at the festival. Throughout the event, conceived in 1986 by the visionary Jean-Pierre Blanc, the finalists will showcase their collections via showrooms and fashion presentations, engaging both public and professional audiences alike.

Goff’s journey from Plano West to the global fashion scene underscores his dedication and talent. While at Plano West, he immersed himself in fashion and advanced fashion courses, laying the foundation for his future pursuits. His commitment to the craft led him to the Parsons New School of Design in New York and later to Parsons School in Paris, France, where he continued to refine his skills.

“I never would have found myself in Paris without the lessons taught and the passion for design articulated by a single teacher in my high school fashion class, Mrs. Jodi Miller!” says Goff in an official statement released by Plano ISD.

His thesis collection, Asphalt Cowboy, garnered acclaim and an internship at the prestigious French fashion house Isabel Marant. This accolade catapulted him into the international spotlight, earning him a coveted spot at the Festival de Hyères.

“This is one of the most exciting opportunities in the fashion industry, and I am beyond proud of this young man,” said Miller, who, according to the statement, still teaches fashion at Plano West.
