Pa. gaming board bans 3 gamblers who left kids in cars, fines casino over minors

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board took action this week against three people who left children in cars while they gambled and fined a casino for allowing minors on the gaming floor.

In one case, a woman and a man were banned from gambling in Pennsylvania casinos after leaving a 5-month-old unattended in a running vehicle for 30 minutes while they gambled at Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack in Delaware County. The board said the temperature was 47 degrees in the parking garage.

In the second case, the board denied a woman’s request to be removed from the involuntary exclusion list for a 2017 incident in which she left a 4-year-old unattended while gambling at Rivers Casino Philadelphia. The child was unattended for 15 minutes in a non-running vehicle in the parking lot in 95-degree heat, the board said.
