Ladbrokes have got their markets out for racing this Saturday, and we have tried to find four runners that appears overs in betting. Hopefully we can continue on from last Saturday when finding Kenyan Wonder at $14.
Randwick Race One Number 6 Left Reeling ($17):
Fitter and up to the mile I am happy to side with Left Reeling. This mare resumed a couple of weeks ago over 1250m at Canterbury where she was back on a dynamite up/in track and just couldn’t get involved, but her late splits were pretty good in defeat behind Brudenell. Might want one more but a rise to 1600m suits and has solid city form from last prep.
Randwick Race Four Number 11 Sir Lucan ($11):
Very open/even race this so going to take a punt with Sir Lucan, who has his first run since the 2021 Melbourne Cup when down the track behind Verry Elleegant. He’s had a long time off and looked very rusty in the first trial but the second trial, he was much better and moved well on speed, only getting run down late. Question marks on most of these, including this guy, but he has the most scope/improvement.
Randwick Race Five Number 11 Willinga Beast ($9.50):
I am keen here on Willinga Beast for Kris Lees. They tried to stretch her out to be a Flight Stakes horse in the Spring but there is enough in her form to suggest she is a short course type so 1100m here fresh I love. Yet to see a dry track in her career so she could easily explode here and with two trials under the belt, she’s got the grounding to prove hard to beat.
Randwick Race Eight Number 5 Matcha Latte ($9.00):
Matcha Latte gets his chance for Group l glory. I thought he was excellent in the Hobartville. First up, he was there to win the race 250m out but condition just gave way late and he couldn’t quite get there, albeit he was beaten narrowly by Osipenko. Fitter, getting to the Randwick mile, it all points to him running well and is a great each way gamble.
