There will be fair representation at this year’s Met Gala as we have another confirmed name with us. Hyderabad-based philanthropist and businesswoman Sudha Reddy has partnered with the Metropolitan Museum of Art and will be walking the red carpet. This collaboration will allow her to support the Museum’s mission of celebrating art’s power to inspire and connect people across cultures, further reflecting the Museum’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and global engagement.

The Met is the world’s largest and most visited museum of art. It has some of the most exotic and authentic collections from designers spanning all cultures and time periods. The Museum houses close to two million works of art – starting from ancient Egypt to the 21st century. The Met’s mission is to collect, preserve, interpret, and present outstanding works of art for the education and enjoyment of the public.

Apart from the collaboration, Sudha will also grace the red carpet. She is among the few Indians we will see at the Met Gala red carpet this year. The event is scheduled for Monday, May 6 in New York.

Sudha’s Met Gala debut was in 2021

Sudha was first seen on the Met Gala red carpet in 2021 when she wore a stunning custom  Falguni Shane Peacock. This year, Met’s theme is ‘The Garden Of Time’. We will get to see Sudha interpret the theme for herself and showcase her fashion sense. It is reported that Sudha is considering some designs from Indian designers Tarun Tahiliani and Alexander McQueen.

Who is Sudha Reddy?

Sudha is passionate about fashion. When not invested in her company, Megha Engineering And Infrastructure Limited, she is busy with her extensive philanthropic work through the Sudha Reddy Foundation, UNICEF, Global Gift Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Fight Hunger Foundation and Action Against Hunger.
