HAYWOOD CO., Tenn. (WMC) – More jobs are headed to Tennessee thanks to a major investment into Ford Motor Company’s BlueOval City.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and other officials announced $54 million from assembly company Avancez to expand its assembly operations.

Avancez will join part manufacturer Magna at the Stanton site, creating an additional 501 new jobs in Haywood County.

The Tennessee assembly plant will be the company’s third location in the U.S.

“Tennessee’s longstanding history in the automotive industry has propelled our state forward as a powerhouse in the electric vehicle evolution,” Gov. Bill Lee said. “I thank Avancez for creating hundreds of new jobs for the skilled workforce in Haywood County and look forward to the economic prosperity this project will bring to West Tennessee.”
