LOU LOUS GIFT has shown promise, both when third on debut at Yarmouth (6f, good) and when going close over C&D. Has failed to settle on both occasions, however, so connections now try her in headgear. A big player.

WAYFINDER acts on soft. All four chase wins were at Chepstow, the latest in first-time cheekpieces (kept since) on last season’s reappearance.

LARGY DEBUT is a fairly consistent sort who was runner-up to Gevrey in last month’s Munster National on first try at this sort of trip under rules. Needs to build on that from 2lb higher in a deeper race though.

EDWARDSTONE won the Arkle over C&D (good to soft) in March 2022 and reappeared last season with easy win in the Tingle Creek at Sandown (1m7f, good to soft). Narrowly beaten by Editeur Du Gite here (2m, soft) in January. Flopped in Champion Chase here in March but can play a leading role if back to his best.
