Levin inks Liquor Cave location for Somerset Shopping Center

Liquor Cave is expanding its Garden State presence, signing a new lease at Somerset Shopping Center in Bridgewater.

Levin Management Corp. is leasing and management agent for the 219,000-square-foot retail complex. Senior Leasing Representative Vanessa Kelty arranged the lease on behalf of property ownership. Liquor Cave’s representation in the transaction was not disclosed.

The 7,400-square-foot space marks the fifth in the Garden State for the popular fine wine, spirts and craft beer retailer. The newest store is situated at the Somerville Circle, the junction of Routes 202, 206, 28 and 22. Kelty described the property as “stellar location” for any tenant.

The property sees 72,000 vehicles pass daily while drawing 1.2 million visits per year, according to data Placer.ai data. Longstanding tenants include Gap Factory, Barnes & Noble and Men’s Warehouse as well as local eateries, such as The Thai and Steck’s Delicatessen.

Other recently committed tenants include Strand Salon Studios (12,000 square feet) and Fred Astaire Dance Studio.

More than 124,000 people reside within 5 miles of the shopping center. The trade area boasts average household income of $175,000, LMC said.

“Liquor Cave will benefit from Somerset Shopping Center’s excellent demographics, accessibility and visibility,” Kelty commented. “At the same time, real-time traffic and data from Placer.ai shows continued local demand for this retail category. To that end we’ve secured a best-in-class brand – one that brings a wide selection of quality products – for Somerset County shoppers.”

Liquor Cave is also in Edison, South Orange, Maplewood and Franklin Township.

Current availabilities at Somerset Shopping Center range from 500 square feet to 28,750 square feet.
