Laredo College hosts Spring Job Fair, draws crowds
LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – Laredo College’s gymnasium buzzed with activity as job seekers and employers gathered for the annual Spring Job Fair on Thursday, April 25. The college partnered with Workforce Solutions for South Texas and the City of Laredo Economic Development Department for the event.
More than 60 companies, including Peg Energy, TechFlex, and Border Patrol, set up booths to meet with job seekers. Attendees had the chance to chat with employers and even land on-the-spot job interviews.
Alberto Camacho-Ross, who attended the fair, shared his excitement, saying, “There are so many different employers, so many different opportunities for each employer, so I think it’s great. I definitely made a lot of contacts, and got some very important information that I need to look through and start applying.”
Over 200 people showed up to explore job opportunities, and best of all, the fair was free for everyone.
