FAIRFAX CITY, VA — As one restaurant in Kamp Washington, another one in the same shopping center is preparing to open.

Approximately eight months after opening, the taim Mediterranian Grill in the Westfair Shopping Center at 11011 Main St. in Kamp Washington has closed.

The following noticed was posted on the door of the restaurant:

“Dear Valued Guests,

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of this taim location. We are grateful for your patronage; it has been our utmost pleasure to serve you.

“We hope you can join us at our Dupont Circle location.

“Thank you for your support.”

In August 2023, the Fairfax City location of the fast casual chain opened with a fundraiser on behalf of the Capital Area Food Bank.

At that time, the company boasted locations in Dupont Circle in D.C, College Park, Maryland; and Tysons. The company later opened a taim in Reston. But it appears that the Dupont Circle location is the only one still operating, according to the company’s website.

Meanwhile, a “coming soon” sign for The Alley was hanging in the window at 11017 Main St. in the same shopping center. The Alley is a bubble tea chain with locations across the globe, including California, New York, Texas and Hawaii, according to its website.

On March 25, 2024, property owner Federal Realty Partners LP applied for a Commercial Tenant Build Out permit from the City of Fairfax. The application is currently under review.

Patch reached out to The Alley Fairfax via Instagram (@thealleyfairfax) for more details about the bubble tea shop, including a possible opening date. This story will be updated if a response to the request is received.
