I got my mum’s grey-haired pals to model fashion line, people say it’s iconic
A FASHIONISTA got her mum’s grey-haired friends to model her edgy clothing line – and fans are hailing it “iconic”.
Imogen Evans launched her own fashion label at the end of 2020 after leaving her job as a live-in nanny.
Imi Studios now releases up to four small, online capsule collections a year, each more bold and bright than the last.
The sustainable brand has a following of more than 75,000 people on TikTok and various big-name celebrities have worn her pieces.
Imogen, who lives in London, even roped her mum’s pals into modelling for her line.
The grey-haired models look stunning in a range of wacky outfits, including faux fur hygge coats in hot pink and blue shades.
The pair also rock oversized print “typo” t-shirts made from ponte fabric with matching shorts.
Black faux fur leg warmers complete the look, hailed as “iconic” by Imogen’s followers.
Explaining the inspiration behind the project, she told The Scottish Sun: “There was a trend going around TikTok where people dressed their parents in their clothes.
“It made me realise that you can harness the power of fashion to change how other people perceive you and your age. I therefore wanted to play around with this concept.
“The other reason is that I absolutely love how grey hair looks. There’s something about silver hair that visually appeals to me and I knew it would go perfectly with the colour scheme of my new collection.”
Reacting to the snaps, one fan gushed: “Okay but why am I ABSOLUTELY VIBING with this?”
Another said: “When I say I’m excited to get older people just don’t understand! These ladies are fabulous.”
A third put: “This is the representation I need.”
A fourth commented: “They killed it.”
A fifth added: “So sick.”
We told how Imogen made her sister a GREEN wedding dress with special messages hidden inside – and people hailed it “incredible”.
