Here’s How Hudson Valley Teens Can Get Free Summer Gym Memberships

While college students quickly approach the finish line for the 23-24 academic year, local high schoolers are not too far behind, with their eyes focused on the end of June. When the Hudson Valley K-12 schools close their doors on another year, and students go into summer mode, there’s certainly no shortage of fun things to do here in the Hudson Valley, like free bowling!

If you’re a Hudson Valley teen yourself, a parent to one, or even just a friend or neighbor to someone between the ages of 14 and 19, here’s some information they might find exciting when it comes to summer plans.

Planet Fitness Offers Free Summer Pass For Teens

Registration will soon begin for the return of the ‘High School Summer Pass Program’ at Planet Fitness locations across the Hudson Valley. Beginning May 13th, students between the ages of 14 and 19 will have access to free workouts all summer long.

The initiative, which began in 2018 as a small pilot program, has now expanded to more than 2,000 PF locations nationwide.

Any potential gym-goer under the age of 18 (and over 14) must have parental permission, and will have access to get their workouts on during their PF location’s set operating hours. They’ll also have the option of participating in free fitness classes called PE@PF at participating locations.

Summer Pass Registration Begins May 13th

Beginning May 13th, teens 14-19 can register in-person at their local Planet Fitness, or even from the comfort of their home through the Planet Fitness website. There is a waiver for those under the age of 18 that requires a parental signature. Once the waiver is signed though, participants under the age of 18 are not required to have an adult on site while they work out.
