The team visited the Westin Maui Resort and Spa last week to check out the conclusion of a $160 million transformation to the property.

And man, is it spectacular!

We toured the rooms and suites—all modern and clean with unparalleled views of Kāʻanapali Beach—dined at the new concept ʻUlu Kitchen by local chef Peter Merriman, lounged in a cabana (with a TV!) by the pool, got massages at the Heavenly Spa by Westin, and, maybe best of all, got a sneak peek at Hana Hou, a 15,000-square-foot social center we’ve never seen at a hotel in Hawaiʻi. This center is part arcade, part bar, with Topgolf, a duckpin bowling alley, old-school arcade games, claw machines and virtual reality. It opens to the public in mid-May.

We talk about it all—and more—in this week’s podcast. Enjoy!

Don’t forget to enter our annual Photo Contest, where you could win a trip to Kauaʻi, thanks to Alaska Airlines and Waimea Plantation Cottages!
