Memorial Day (unofficially) marks the beginning of summer — or at least summer Fridays (for the lucky ones) in corporate America. Thanks to the sales, it also makes way for a long weekend where spenders and savers alike can purchase everything on their wish lists. Luckily, you don’t have to wait until the 27th to start your retail shopping. Below, we rounded up a handful of the best early Memorial Day sales.

The change of weather makes you believe you need a whole new wardrobe. You probably don’t — but you could use a few pieces to spruce things up. So they might as well be on sale. Currently, brands like Italist and Ssense have great deals on designer goods, and Rothy’s TikTok-famous mary janes are 25 percent off in a very fun summer colorway.

Put your hand up if you saw Challengers and you, too, want to go to your nearest tennis court, blast the movie’s soundtrack, and lather yourself in Augustinus Bader cream. Luckily, until May 21, Shopbop is offering 15 percent off its entire beauty selection (including the cream Tashi uses), and Dermstore is offering 20 percent off EltaMD products until May 27. Because did you think we wouldn’t recommend a discounted sunscreen for all your outdoor hobbies?

Memorial Day weekend is prime time to score mattress deals. The Cut’s deputy style editor, Joanna Nikas, highly recommends the Saatva luxury firm mattress if you are a back or stomach sleeper, and the Yogasleep mattress if you want to feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud. And Cut reader-favorite brands like Casper and Buffy are offering up to 20 percent off their best-selling products. Plus, Article has great discounts on home items you might need to upgrade your bedroom, outdoor space, or home office.
