Downtown business has grand opening in Hazard
HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – After years of operating out of the Southern Bless located on North Main Street, Co-owners of The Copper Lantern, decided it was time for expansion. And expand they did, opening their second store in a building on High Street which hasn’t been used in almost 20 years.
Co-owners Charla Napier and Rhonda Brewer talked about why it was time for the move and what it meant to them to move to downtown Hazard.
“Well we wanted to be downtown, we love what’s happening downtown. We needed a larger space, this building we felt had the potential to be beautiful and just shine so we felt like this is the perfect spot. We tried to buy it for years and it was finally made to be and it worked out,”
Officials said that the business is still being expanded upon and will continue to grow.
