TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The 6th annual fundraiser hosted by The Culture for Change Foundation is just a few weeks away. The foundation will be hosting its fundraiser in the form of an immersive Urban Cultural Fashion Show with the theme “Under the Sea.”

The fashion Show will feature designs from five exceptional designers, who will showcase their creations based off of the theme, offering a unique blend of artistry and cultural inspiration. One of the five designer will be Twin Falls’ very own Aisha Malyamungu.

Malyamungu has been designing and creating clothes since a child and started taking it more seriously back in 2016. She is a local designer who has participated in this show almost every year since the fundraiser in 2018. She owns her own business in Twin Falls, called Malyamungu Designs, where she customizes designs for all ages and sizes.

Malyamungu is multifaceted designer who was awarded the first-place title for last year’s Magic Valley Art and Soul Wardrobe Category after making a dress out of Idaho Potato sacs. She is also known for designing and dressing candidates for the Miss Africa Idaho pageants.

The goal of the foundation is to raise $30,000 so that Culture for Change can continue running community and culture programs, in addition to providing additional programs to adolescents to prepare them for success. This event will give people the opportunity to mix and mingle with 300 of Culture for Change’s most prominent supporters before experiencing this immersive deep dive into fashion and entertainment.

The fashion show will take place at the TRICA Children’s Arts in Boise on Saturday, June 1st from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. You can amplify your impact by making a donation today in order to help bring more opportunities to Southern Idaho adolescents and families, by preparing them for successful futures. Donations can be made through their website: https://www.cultureforchangefoundation.org/donate.
