Colorado Springs police investigate possible shots fired at apartments near shopping center

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – Colorado Springs police are investigating possible shots fired near a shopping center on the north part of the city.

They tell 11 News officers hears shots being fired at the University Village apartments, which is near the N. Nevada and I-25 exit.

11 News viewers called the newsroom, reporting a heavy law enforcement presence in the area.

At the time of writing, police said they are still investigating, but so far, they have not gotten any reports of injuries. We will update this article when we get more information.

Our 11 News crews reported law enforcement clearing the area by 8:40 p.m.
