Fans of the game can get pretty heated when they see an NBA star not giving his all despite being supremely talented at the sport. And when it comes to Hall of Fame Boston Celtics champions Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, the sentiment might be even stronger in such a regard when it comes to Philadelphia 76ers star big man Joel Embiid.
With the Sixers starting the NBA’s 2024-25 regular season with one of the worst records in the league and no clear path to getting better until Embiid heals up and treats his teammates with the respect they are having meeting to ask him for, it’s not just frustrating to Philly fans. Garnett and Pierce get bent out of shape by Embiid’s attitude this season, and let the world know on a recent episode of their Showtime Basketball “Ticket and the Truth” podcast.
