Crystal Palace vs Liverpool bet-builder tips
Bet-builder tip 1: Liverpool to win
With Manchester City in the middle of a mini-slump and Arsenal travelling to Villa Park this weekend, Liverpool have a good chance of finishing the weekend top of the table. To do that, Arsenal must fail to win and Liverpool need to overcome a Crystal Palace side who have won just one of their last eight and have lost half of their eight home Premier League matches this term.
Liverpool have won their last three across all competitions and are on an eight-game unbeaten run in the Premier League. The Reds also have a good record at Selhurst Park, where they are unbeaten in their previous nine visits in all competitions – a run that comprises eight wins.
Bet-builder tip 2: Mohamed Salah to score any time
Mohamed Salah may not have scored in his side’s last three Premier League matches but he still has 10 in the top flight this term. Only Erling Haaland, with 14, has more. Like his club, the Egyptian has enjoyed his visits to south London and has three goals in his four appearances at Selhurst Park.
Palace had prided themselves on solidity at the back under Roy Hodgson but their defence has been leaky in recent weeks. The Eagles have kept just one clean sheet in seven and have conceded more than once against Everton, Luton and Bournemouth in recent matches. Salah can add to their woes.
Bet-builder tip 3: Over 4 Liverpool corners
The final leg of our bet builder is for Liverpool to have over four corners in what we expect to be a match they dominate. Jurgen Klopp’s side have already amassed 101 corners across their 15 league matches this season – only Manchester United and Arsenal have more. That works out at an average of 6.73 per game so if that trend continues today this selection should land.
Palace have conceded an average of 4.9 corners per game this season and gave up eight in their 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth at Selhurst Park in midweek. As we expect Liverpool to be more dominant than Bournemouth, it points to more than four corners for the Reds.
