Barclaycard today (2nd May 2024) announced that it has renewed its entertainment partnership with Global, the Media & Entertainment Group, to sponsor the biggest live events in Global’s portfolio for five more years. This builds on an already successful three-year partnership between Barclaycard and Global.

Barclaycard will continue as headline partner of Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard and Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball with Barclaycard, two of the biggest multi-artist events in the UK, as well as Global’s Make Some Noise Night, Global’s annual charity gala that raises money to help small charities across the UK.

As part of the renewed deal, Barclaycard will also support Classic FM Live, a twice-yearly spectacular celebration of classical music’s greatest anthems at The Royal Albert Hall.

The star-studded line-up for this year’s Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard was announced live on Capital this week and 80,000 party goers will be treated to performances from RAYE, Meghan Trainor, David Guetta and Sabrina Carpenter, as well as many other huge artists. Barclaycard customers receive 10% off pre-sale tickets and exclusive benefits at Global’s events when they pay with their Barclaycard or Barclays Premier Card.

Dan Mathieson, head of sponsorship at Barclaycard, said, “Global continues to deliver incredible world-class events with the biggest music stars that reach millions. Our partnership with them has enabled Barclaycard customers to get unrivalled perks, from exclusive artist performances to discounted pre-sale tickets.

“Extending the partnership for another five-years enables us to deliver bigger and bolder perks than ever before, giving Barclaycard and Barclays Premier cardholders the very best live music experiences. We are delighted to renew our successful partnership together.”

Mike Gordon, chief commercial officer at Global, added, “Since 2020, we’ve worked with Barclaycard to create incredible entertainment together for our audiences. We’ve had surprise performances from Sam Ryder, an augmented reality Anne-Marie on London billboards, dance performances from TikTokers Brookie and Jessie, and many more. All while delivering money can’t buy experiences for Barclaycard customers too. We’re very excited to continue building on the success of the last three years and deliver even more exciting experiences together for the next five.”
