Vogue Business is delighted to announce the launch of our latest podcast series: The Future of Shopping. The Future of Shopping podcast investigates what the new era of shopping will look like, presented by Worldpay.

In each episode, Vogue Business editors will unpack what comes next for e-commerce, social commerce and Web3, what will happen to malls and high streets, and how consumers will shop in the future.

In episode three, we delve into how young consumers navigate shopping and discovery in the age of social media algorithms. While many in the fashion set have come to lament the impact of algorithmic recommendations on discovery and personal style, a Vogue Business survey of Vogue and GQ consumers found that Gen Z shares an especially positive sentiment towards algorithms and their impact on social media feeds.

In this episode, 26-year-old Tora Northman, senior social media editor at Highsnobiety and 27-year-old Tariro Makoni, fashion commentator and strategy manager for global startups at Amazon Web Services, discuss how they shop and discover online. The conversation explores how users weigh fast-changing micro-trends (when and how closely to follow them), how conscious they are of algorithmic curation, and when to look beyond the screen for inspiration.

Brands should take note.
